– The first thing which stroke me was the fact that graphic design is part of the everyday life, a simple program of cinema is well designed. In the middle France, no one would ever pay attention, no one cares, it is not part of our culture.
– People look healthier, more easy going, more ready to be happy than French always complaning.
– Every shops open on sunday ( amsterdam)
– Netherlands is BAD for yoghurt; no choice.
– Incredible amount of people in wheel chairs (what happened?)
– The curtains are left open during evenings, you can see everything which goes with the mentality : “I have nothing to hide”.
– The straight- line mentality : "acting normal is already original enough".
– They don't wear helmet on a scooter.
– Netherlands, the country where I had the worst croissant ever.
– Dutch people knows quite a lot about France, whereas we did not learn anything about you( the only thing french people know is that they can smoke weed there)
– Arguments are solved by a talk, they need it. Even if the talk was not succesfull the problem is solved . Dutch have to sit and TALK, nothing is left over.
– Prostitutes behind vitrines
– Dutch poeple systematicly buy something to eat or drink before getting into the train.
– It is the first time i see shop where you can buy candies and chocolate-bares and medecines.
– Absolutly no culture of food.
– Eggs are sold in boxes of 4.
– During winter, when girls go out, they stay outside only with no sleaves teeshirt.
– In general, Dutch dress awfully.
– Dutch people don't cheat, they follow the rules, the laws, in France everybody tries to find a way for not paying, cheatting in the bus etc...
– Everything is set, well organised
– They eat nutella during lunch.
– In the cafe, there is always a cookie with your hot drink.
– They is no minimum price to use credit card.
– In the train, they are very lound on mobile phone, whereas in France, we start to be ashamed of using it.
– Young controlers in the trains, in france they all look old, serious and boring, they often where barb or moustache.
– The first time i see a laundry where you can smoke in was in Arnhem.
– THe houses are a bit like in england , it does not matter to live under the street level, in paris , it does not exist.
– The toilettes in cafe , restaurants and bars are CLEAN.
– The level of English is far higher than in France.
– Usually , when you meet dutch , first they are quite warm but when you meet them again hay are quite rought.
– Once a pedestrian yale at me because i crossed the street while the light was red. Even if there is no car, they just wait and respect the rule...
– They have traffic circle for bycicle.
– They put water in their glass of wine.
– I did also noticed that dutch men are not go looking compared to women but it is not very nice to tell.
