Palestinian artists, photographers and designers invite you to see a different image of Palestine, one with landscapes and tranquil cities – yes, the same Palestine that’s fighting the Apartheid Wall. The Subjective Palestine is the latest brainchild of Annelys de Vet, the Dutch graphic designer who has made it her goal role of design in political discourse.

The book aims to counter the Western media’s view of the Palestinians as homicidal aggressors and help better relate to the country’s people. The drawings and photographs include invented Palestinian currency, food, maps and flags of the occupied nation. De Vet is passionate about the responsibility of the designer of cultural representation. With her latest atlas, she certainly puts that passion into the Arab spotlight.
